it is good to have a replacement nib for just incase a roll or a slip happens to bend the nib, plus a selection of nibs that will suit all writing needs xfine/fine/medium/broad/&+ a "bent" nib without buying a whole new pen, i recommend that everyone should invest in extra nibs
This is a lovely pen that elevates your writing literally and figuratively. The only limitation I find is that I would not recommend exposing it to extreme winter cold (-15c or lower) in a purse or backpack as it seems to make it leak into the cap. I have had this happen with other fountain pens so it’s not unique to this brand. Obviously, the abominable snow man must use a pencil for his correspondence. 😉

The ink doesn't flow smoothly, if at all.

Thank you for your feedback and we're very sorry to hear about the trouble.
Let’s try a few quick troubleshooting steps to help improve the ink flow:
- Check the cartridge – Make sure it’s inserted firmly until you feel it puncture.
- Prime the feed – Gently squeeze the cartridge (if applicable) to push a small drop of ink into the nib.
- Leave nib-down – Let the pen rest nib-down for 10–15 minutes to allow the ink to saturate the feed.
- Rinse the nib section – Flush it with lukewarm water, shake out excess water, let it dry completely, then reinsert the cartridge.

My pen was a gift with an EF nib and I decided to replace it with the medium. However, I think it’s still EF that was sent or at best a Fine nib so I no longer use it.
Very nice Fine nib; worked inmediately out of the package. Currently using with international standard cartridge. Most pleased.

I just love the look and feel of my Rose Veil pen. The ink flows beautifully. It’s a delight to write with.
I first heard about Ellington Pens from an instagrammer who promised that the EF nibs, were in fact EF. I ordered the Azure Berry pen in EF and was going to get the free promotional Stealth pen M so I also ordered the replacement nib in EF (and in rose gold to liven it up a bit) and I have no regrets! I was having a bit of "railroading" at first but I figure that was just about getting things rolling, and the writting is so so smooth (and fine) now.
The latest pens and the extra fine nibs are as great as the rest of my Ellington pen collection. At this time I have 8 or 10 of them. I do like an extra fine point and on of the new pens only had med available to I ordered the extra nib and it was the whole nib screw in section so was very easy to change out. They all write fabulously (and I have several $200 f. pens and one $600 and I'm using the Ellingtons most.)

I absolutely LOVE the broad tip nibs! I wish they were an option to choose for the pens themselves when ordering. The broad nib is so smooth to write with, even more than the medium standard. This order I got the Rose Gold, and the Silver, both. I will definitely be ordering more!
These are my favorite pens
I had never tested the Ellington Pen before (no store near me has one to test) and so I bought it untested and am very glad I did. It’s a great weight in the hand (I prefer a pen you can actually FEEL) and the nib is so smooth it delivers the ink easily, no scratching or pushing. It’s a beauty (I got the white and rose gold one) and I look forward even to writing checks for bills with it!

You can’t beat writing in ink it took me back to the 70s when I filled it up with ink and started writing, I haven’t stopped using it I love it, smooth as silk trust me.

I bought a new EF nib for my Ellington pen - I had one in F but since I love the EF on my other Ellington I swapped it out and I’m very happy with it.
