Azure Clarity - Transparent Fountain Pen

It write so dam good and its a big pen for a cheap price I match it with that diamine green and its so pretty and I'm def in love with that medium nib.

I recently bought the Clarity Fountain Pen and it’s a very nice looking pen. I love the transparent look and its writes so smooth. However the barrel was too big for my liking and I reached out to customer service and they are absolutely top notch! Very quick to respond and very nice. I will continue to get my fountain pen fix from Ellington. I have a few of their other fountain pens and they write so great and look fantastic. Highly recommend!!

Wonderfully large pen with a beautiful extra-fine nib eventually got to my hands after a bit of a walkabout around the state of Iowa. Pen is filled with Graf von Faber-Castell Cobalt Blue ink and produces an impressively thin line to match my handwriting preferences. A great tactile experience and good looks to match.

This is a nice fountain pen. But, the barrel is wider than I am used to. It’s not because it holds more ink though. It’s just the way it’s made. The nib writes without skipping and the ink flows easily. The reservoir does empty quicker than I thought it would which means I have to constantly refill it in the middle of a document. This is the first fountain pen I have had in a long time. I gave it 3 stars because it writes very well.

Fine nib is better

When I first saw the pen and the beautiful box, also transparent clear, was love at first sight. I got it inked and began writing and I wasn’t disappointed. It writes so smoothly without skipping, it so easy to write with this pen that it felt like I was writing with a gel pen. I have some expensive pens in my collection but this Ellington pen has become my favorite! Kudos also on the Ellington ink 🫟

It arrived and the pen is stunning, Azure Clarity-Transparent Fountain Pen (Fine Nib). I also purchased the Inspire Forest Dark Green ink, that I believe is the perfect color for it! Like that is a perfect fit and writes so smooth. I’m very impressed with the quality of the pen. Really going to enjoy it.

A lovely surprise at the smoothness of the nib. It’s a wet writer, a trait I love in a nib. The pen is hefty but light and fits well for my hand. Comfortable for long writing sessions. A great pen.

I love a 'fat' juicy pen, and the Clarity definitely fits that description! And, (IMNHO) it's a very pretty demonstrator.

I found these clear pens beautiful and quite a bit thicker to hold than my regular ellington pens. Very comfortable and extremely smooth writing with the fine point. Just a note, it should be clearer in the ads that it uses bottled ink. I use bottled ink for my regular pens but people may not realize they can't use cartridges with these pens.

Until I discovered this pen, I used to cry in my closet every day because I wanted a smooth, plastic pen without having to pay hundreds for Platinum and Sailor. This pen, with smoothness and quality control that rivals LAMY and Visconti, has made me realize that every pen company except Ellington has been scamming me. I have a collection of 750 pens and growing, this is easily the best one. It even beats my EF LAMY Al Star. Thank you Ellington Pen Company for this masterpiece. I will pray to my Ellington Pen Company shrine now.

This is a great fountain pen. The quality is there, and the writing experience is great. I will say - it is hard to get used to such a thick pen! But it is so fun to write with.

The Clarity pen has a much different feel from other Ellington pens. It is big in the hand, which will take time to get used to, but will be nice. I’ve always like a pen within a little beefier feel. And I like that you can see the ink level.

By the way, there was a problem with the pen when it first arrived, but the Ellington customer service was OUTSTANDING.

This is the first Ellington fountain pen that I’ve owned (or tried, for that matter) and it’s a wonderful writing experience. The Azure feels good — I like the material and it’s a girthy pen. I think the converter holds more ink than a standard international converter; notwithstanding the amount of ink the Azure puts on paper (which is plentiful with the medium nib), I’m not constantly refilling it. More importantly, this is an outstanding pen to write with — I’m unaware of another pen at this price point that is as pleasurable to use. In short, I’m impressed.

Azure Clarity is a great pen - the color/looks are impressive - the pen diameter is a little larger than many pens and it is very easy to use - pen writes smoothly.

I’ve purchased a total of 10 Ellington Pens (don’t worry, I can quit anytime 😜). Some for me, some as gifts. I cut my teeth on Ellington Pens as my gateway into the Fountain Pen World. Let’s just say, I have a new hobby. I’ve purchased more expensive pens and the Ellington I’ve always come back to. It writes right at start up, doesn’t skip and makes my hand writing look so much better than it is! In this digital age, giving a hand written note or letter takes on a whole new meaning by the recipient. The Clarity series is a blast. It’s big, but boy does it right sooooo smooth!!! It’s actually fun and when I let people write with it, it never fails to hear an “oh wow!”

Of the 10 Ellington Pens I have purchased, there were two issues and the company’s customer service department was right on it. In this world of e-commerce, one takes a dive into unknown waters and hopes for the best when you send your payment. Ellington without question is a safe bet to purchase. Safe bet in as far as their products and customer service should you run into a problem. Both Diane and Krystal went above and and beyond in helping resolve these issues with easy no hassle outcomes. I just purchased another one today as a gift for someone, and know they will love it when they receive it. Thanks Ellington Pens for getting my feet wet in the fountain pen world!

A pen that feels like a pen should. Once you have used a fountain pen, you realise its the only style of pen to use.

When I received this pen I was surprised at the diameter of the pen. I would say it is a thick pen. And, it is not designed for cantridges. I have many pens and often fill them using a converter feed, so I was not displeased with it I am also a fan of transparent pens. (It keeps me from unscrewing the nib from the barrel to check my ink supply.) It's definitely an Ellington Pen, though. It writes jst as smoothly as all the other pens I have purcashed from them.

Once again an Ellington pen has filled me with delight. It’s lovely to hold and writes like a dream! I feel the need to buy yet another!

I've been waiting for this pen ever since Ellington started teasing with photos a few weeks ago. It arrived today and I'm madly in love with the look of it, the way it feels in my hand and - obviously (probably) the most important bit - it writes beautifully smoothly. Huzzah!!
