Midnight Clarity - Transparent Fountain Pen

I received this pen for free and finally got around to trying it out. It writes very smooth, the barrel is a little bit bigger then I'm used to. You are suppose to be able to see the ink in the converter but the black barrel does make that a little difficult to see the ink. All in all the pen is nice to write with. Thank you Ellington for the free pen!!

I got this pen as a feebie when I bought hubby a whole writing set for Christmas. Loving the refillable cartridge so no more "is it the right size" silliness.

It doesnt clog easily, typically a quick wipe with a damp towel will clear it. It is very smooth as well.

My only complaint is the screw on lid rather than just a pop on/off. Especially as you need to put the cover back on whenever you arent writing with it. Wellington has those options, it just wasnt this specific pen.

This is a gorgeous pen. I love the feel of it in my hand, and it is large enough to not cause pain in my joints when I write for hours. I got the medium nib. It writes very smooth. The pen is easy to fill with ink, and it is easy to maintain compared to other fountain pens I've used. I absolutely love this pen. I highly recommend it for writers and journaling enthusiasts who have bottles of ink they love to write with.

I have not tried the pin out yet, but opening the package and taking a look at the pin it looks to be of quality. And I’m eager to use it to track my training progress in my note book. Very happy with my purchase.

So the original order went missing but the customer service team sent a replacement, and its a really beautiful pen. I prefer a more girthy barrel on a pen as it seems easier to write with slightly arthritic hands. The nib is medium but I actually would say its broad, which is what I would have preffered anyway. It looks cool, good design but the real bonus is the superb quality nib, it writes very smoothly with a steady supply of ink.
For the price, style and quality this is a really good value pen.
One word of caution, the barrel is broad and does not fit in all ink bottles, such as the narrow Diamine ink types.

Fantastic pen, writes perfectly. A bit chunky which is great for me to hold. Thinking of getting another in a different colour.

I admit I was skeptical, but after collecting a fair amount of fountain pens, and finding some rather expensive ones to be a subpar writing experience, I was totally blown away by the Ellington Midnight Clarity pen. It’s incredibly smooth, it holds and keeps ink in the cartridge from drying out quickly.
And I can walk away from it for a few days and it works first try every time. It cannot say that about any other fountain pens I own, Mountblanc and Waterman included!

Midnight Clarity Transparent fountain pen by Ellington is probably even bigger and heavier than the MontBlanc 149 but writes very nicely with good flow. To fill I remove the cap then unscrew the nib unit from the body, keeping the body upright I use a syringe or dropper to transfer the ink. Excellent finish on acrylic and well-made nib, highly recommended!

I grew up in France. Fountain pen and cursive were the norm in my boarding school. I still kept the habit years later.

This pen was one I was skeptical of before buying but decided to try anyways and it’s become one of my favourites. It’s extremely smooth and the thicker barrel allows it to rest nicely within the hand. If you grew up during the 2000s, it also gives me a similar feeling to the transparent technology Sony released for the PS2. I hope to get more someday!
