Alpine Silver Fountain Pen Review

This one of 5 Ellington Fountain Pens I now own. The Alpine Silver and the Apline Copper were both aquired through Ellington's generous promotional opportunities.
As with the other 4 Ellington fountain pens, it writes beautifully. The White / Silver combination, in my opinion, is a cheerful yet professional combination. This may sound a bit strange coming from a guy, but I have to admit that writing with this White / Silver combination, or my White / Copper combination actually makes me happy. Also, if you are wearing a white dress shirt, the pen sort of disappears in your shirt pocket and all you see is the silver clip and top of the pen. I am glad I have the white body fountains in my collection.

Ebon Elegance Blackwood Fountain Pen & Alpine Silver Fountain Pen

The Ebon Elegance Blackwood Fountain Pen (medium) is a lovely pen but the nib is much finer than the medium that I wanted. It is also scratchy.
The bonus Alpine Silver Fountain Pen (only available in fine) is also lovely, but happily the nib is closer to medium than fine and it writes smoothly.

The Alpine is beautiful, nice weight so it feels good to hold especially if your hands are a little on the larger side, which mine are. It writes sooooo smoothly, no skipping, but its inky. I got the fine nib and i was surprised how much ink it releases so the writing looks big. Next time I'll go with EF. Still one of my better pens
