Good but not perfect

I ordered an Imperial Flame Matte pen with an extra fine nib. The box was labelled Dark Burgundy EF. I suppose they are the same thing.
The pen was very nicely packaged in a nice box with a small box of 3 small ink cartridges (which I'll probably never use as I prefer bottled ink) and a nice twist ink converter pre-installed in the pen.
The pen itself if nice to look at. The colour is a bit brighter than I expected, though still matte. It looks a little bit more muted in the photos.
The body and lid of the pen are metal, though I'm not sure about the grip. It feels like plastic, and has a slightly deeper ring to it when struck.
The pen is light weight, but a standard diameter. It does feel like nice quality overall.
The extra fine nib is also very nice and good quality. It is smooth to write with, and the ink flow is consistent.
Overall, it is a nice, good quality pen for a reasonable price (especially when discounts are applied). It is not the best pen in my large collection, but it is decent and worth consideration. I have paid more for much worse pens, so I'm not going to complain about this one at all. It is worth the price.
I look forward to trying the others that bought at the same time.

My first fountain pen

Absolutely love this pen. The cap is a bit heavy but I just leave it off when I’m writing. Love the smooth writing so much I had to order more!

Nice but too much ink usage

The pen feels lovely to use—better than any I’ve had, though I feel it uses too much ink. In some paper, it will bleed, on other, it sits on top of the paper (and smudges easily). I’ve gone through a cartridge after writing the equivalent of a couple of pages.

A well made product and I love the color.
