I got this exact pen in another color for my birthday. I am a light pen snob :) and am partial to Faber’s. This Ellington pen exceeded my expectations and has become a favorite for writing. There is a smoothness from both the tip and the ink that makes it exceptional in my notebooks. Thanks for a great pen! (TWICE)

They are right, the right pen makes a huge difference in your handwriting! Beautiful pen. Ink flows flawlessly, even after sitting unused for a few days. I LOVE the pen and ink from Ellington. Wish the ink came in more colors- will order some multi color as we get toward la the holidays to so cards in red and green ink. Highly recommend.

Let me begin by saying I am left handed so there always has been a tenuous relationship with fountain pens. I really do not use them for writing as it is difficult to keep your hand out of the newly laid down ink. My typical use is for drawing and sketching. All of that said, the pen, and I ordered two and got one free, that I started using is very solid and well built. I ordered medium nibs but, IMHO, it is a stretch to call this nib medium, more like fine lite. Much closer to fine than medium. None the less, I have loaded one with the ink cartridge, primed the pen per the instructions and started using. As I mentioned, I am left handed so over the years I have taught myself to draw/sketch from right to left so as to not to push the nib into the paper, but pull it across the paper.

Up to this point, it has been somewhat of a struggle to get the pen to work properly without applying extra pressure on the paper, which defeats the purpose. I really want to like this pen and will be trying to give it a good "break in" period. Hopefully, this will work out for the better.
