Noble Heritage Fountain Pen

It's still new, but so far I have been very impressed. It has a good feel and weight which suggests something much more expensive than it was. It looks good too. Once when I had stored it upright the small cartridge fell out, and it wasn't easy to retrieve it from there barrel, but I hope I have overcome that by storing a spare cartridge in the barrel.

Like all of the Ellington Fountain Pens, the Noble Heritage is a great pen. I ordere mine with the extra fine nib. Once I finally got it, I immediately put it to work.

The problem was, it took me a while to get it. It got "stuck" in a postal service building someplace, and was long overdue. I finally contacted the Ellington Pens Customer Support. My email went out and within minutes I had a response. Get this: They recognized my pen had been stuck in transit and was a week late. They accepted responsibility, though it was not their fault, and apoligized. They offered to ship me another pen, but they also worked to track the pen down. 24 hours later I received an email that my stuck pen was now moving and out for delivery.

I collect fountain pens, and have nine of the Ellington fountain pens. I'll eventually own all of them. They are beautiful pens that perform flawlessly. And with great customer service, I won't worry about problems with my pens or with shipping. Thants, Ellington, for a job well done.

When I was a young yuppie, I saw a number of my work compatriots using Mont Blanc pens; they were worn almost like jewelry. I aspired to join the cool club and eventually had my own. The pen never wrote smoothly and after the fountain pen ruined two nice shirts by leaking, I decided "be careful what you wish for".
By contrast, my new Ellington pen writes incredibly smoothly, feels solid and looks great. So much so I may have to purchase another for my wife.

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would, as this pen exceeds my expectations. I was expecting it to be good but I couldn't imagine it to be this good! I have been gifted a couple of very expensive pens and they tend to be "picky" about paper they like to write on. I just spend the evening trying my Ellington pen in every note book I have, and it just glides comfortably in every each of them. I also love how my handwriting looks neater when I am using this pen. HIGHLY recommend!

I just received my black & gold (Noble Heritage) pen & tried it out right away. To say this is the smoothest pen I’ve ever used would be an understatement. As a left hander I’ve tried many pens that are supposed to be ambidextrous but after grasping them in my left hand the pens would act insulted: the nib would scratch across the paper, ink would flow intermittently or not at all. The Ellington pen seems to say all are welcome & come as you are. The pen glides over paper with effortless ease. I tried writing at all the weird angles lefties use & the pen never faulted or hesitated. This pen beats the performance of $100+ pens I’ve purchased. Five stars!
