Burnt orange

Great color- my favorite among fountain pens. Evokes the iconic Parker Duofold orange of the 1920s. Also this pen is a good writer, an absolutely essential starting point.

These pens are very good pens considering the price point. My nib preference is F and XF- many times the less expensive F/XF nibs are “scratchy” -these are smooth & work grest on higher GSM paper like quality journals. I have many more expensive pens in my collection & these are comparable in nib quality. Order confirmation, shipping & timeliness have been excellent.

Love everything about the pen, the flow, the weight, the looks

An eye-catching design, and easy to use

I needed a new fountain pen for letter-writing, and I spotted an ad for Ellington Pens on Facebook, featuring the Solar Veil design. I normally ignore ads on social media, but the Solar Veil was so eye-catching that I had to find out more. I'm using the refillable reservoir and Quink permanent black ink with a 0.5mm nib. The pen sits easily in my hand and is comfortable to use, even for long periods. The ink flows well, giving a strong, uniform line on the page. And the pen looks good on my desk when not in use. Several friends have commented on it.

These are most consistent fountain pens under $100. I love mine.

An Elegant Writing Tool
